Malaysia
Malaysia, Truly Asia is the advertising slogan and in many ways it is true. This vibrant, oil rich country is a cosmopolitan Asian country. The Muslim majority co-exist with their Indian and Chinese countryman with an enviable prgmatism. From the capital in Kuala Lumpur to the jungles of Borneo there is a feeling of pride about Malaysia.

No trip should miss Kuala Lumpur, a city with more in common with Singapore and Hong Kong, than Bangkok or Jakarta. Superb infrastructure and excellent planning make the city easy to get around and a pleasure to visit. The hotels are second to none and of course some of the best golf is to be found within easy reach of the city centre.
40 mins flight to the north is the island of Langkawi. A perfect getaway for those looking for complete calm on tropical beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Andaman Sea. There is only one international standard golf course at Datai Bay and that is where we would recommend you to stay.
However if you are looking for a little more action then take a short 2 hr flight to Borneo. The two Shangri La hotels there offer all you could wish for on a tropical golf holiday. The Tanjung Aru one the edge of Kota Kinabalu is on the beach and close to town. The town buzzes at night with markets and shopping and along the seafront there are bars and restauants. 40 mins up the coast is the Rasa Ria resort on it's own course, Dalit Bay, and has its own orang u tang sanctuary. For those of a more adventurous nature there are wondeful nature tours into the jungle.
For those with more time on their hands we could highly recommend a short flight up to Penang for a few days followed by a drive across to the Cameron Highlands Resort with its own golf course.
