The striking contrasts of green formality against the rugged desert backdrop, finely maintained courses, beautiful mountain vistas and spectacular sunsets make Scottsdale a very fine place to play golf.

Scottsdale's remarkable transformation from Wild West outpost to sophisticated golf mecca is now complete and with 330 days of sunshine a year, dramatic topography and energetic nightlife, there is perhaps no more perfect setting for a golfing holiday.

On arrival we collect our hire cars for the very short drive from Phoenix to Scottsdale. After a day relaxing and discovering the area we will be ready to play some of the finest courses on offer.

We will be playing six of the top courses, among them Grayhawk, Talking Stick, Troon North, TPC Canyons, Camelback and Desert Canyon. At this stage we can't give you the exact courses until we know the overseeding programme which takes place around this time of year. We want to ensure that the courses we play will be in superb condition.

You can fly directly from London to Phoenix with British Airways and from Manchester via many US cities. For a true desert golf experience, Scottsdale is the place.

HOTEL

The Sheraton Desert Oasis Suites. These luxury suites have separate living room, dining room and bedroom areas, fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette, and master bathroom with a whirlpool bath tub.

For couples the standard One Bedroom Suite with queen size bed is ideal. For those who prefer a large bed the One Bedroom Premium Villa with its American King Bed is preferable. All Suites have a very comfortable pull out queen size sofa bed. Alternatively we can also offer 2 Bedroom Villas. See the rates below. All villas and suites are superbly appointed with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge etc.

There is a wonderful outdoor pool with waterfalls and also a fitness centre. All of this is within easy walking distance of a variety of local restaurants and bars.

Golf

Scottsdale and the surrounding area boasts some 200 courses, we will be playing six rounds during our stay in Arizona. We will of course be able to book extra golf for those who wish to play on the free days. At the time of going to press, for the reasons stated above, we are awaiting the schedule of courses to be played but rest assured the quality of the courses will not disappoint.
